2nd Chance Books helps incarcerated Muslims access the tools they need for real growth and renewal. Our programs share the authentic teachings of Islam, highlighting the morals and ethics of the Prophet Muhammad (ṣ) and his blessed household (ʿa).

Free Islamic Books & Resources:
One of our core initiatives sends Islamic books—covering belief, ethics, morality, and history—at no cost. These books support self-development and personal reform, offering a path toward lasting change. We also send Prayer Rugs, Hijabs and Turbahs to aid them in their worship.

Personalized Support:
We stay in touch through regular letters, hearing reflections, stories and questions from participants. This correspondence allows us to tailor each book package and curriculum to individual interests and needs.

Personal Guidance from Scholars:
A dedicated team of qualified scholars reads and responds to participants’ letters, answering their questions and helping them gain a clear, authentic understanding of their faith.

Building Leaders, Strengthening Communities:
By fostering strong habits and leadership skills, we help inmates prepare to re-enter society as positive, engaged citizens ready to uplift their communities.

We provide free literature, educational resources, and ongoing support tailored to the unique needs of the prison environment.

Free Islamic Books Program – Learn Islam with 2nd Chance Books

Are you a new Muslim or someone curious to learn more about Islam? We are here to support you on your journey. We provide free Islamic books to individuals within the US who are either converts to Islam or sincerely interested in learning about the faith.

Through this initiative, we aim to make authentic Islamic knowledge accessible to everyone—whether you’re taking your first steps as a Muslim or simply exploring what Islam teaches.

What’s Included:

A selection of beginner-friendly Islamic books
Resources focused on belief, worship, character, and daily life in Islam
Guidance rooted in the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet and his Household (peace be upon them)
