We are supported by your generous donations which allow us to purchase books, packaging and office supplies, prayer rugs, postage, etc. With your donations, we have been able to increase our reach and receive hundreds of letters from inmates each month, and we have been able to provide them access to the information and resources they need like prayer rugs, turbah’s and hijabs.
What is the Book Donation Program?
Given the limited access prisoners have to quality educational resources, Second Chance has created a program to send Islamic educational materials to Muslim prisoners. Our organization works directly with prisoners, not only sending requested educational books but also addressing their concerns and challenges as much as possible.
Prisoners enhance their chances of receiving additional books by sending summaries of what they have read back to our organization. This creates a meaningful exchange that transforms lives.
